Director of Community Engagement
The official charity of Stoke City Football Club is embarking on a new and exciting mission and is now seeking applications for a truly unique opportunity to deliver inspiring outcomes for our community.
Moving forward, the Charity will have one core purpose: to create opportunities for everyone in Staffordshire to get active.
The Charity will rebrand, refocus and relaunch, and you will be at the heart of the creative and strategic process. We will engage with our local communities to identify and deliver projects to increase participation in sport and physical activity. This commitment will go hand-in-hand with a strategy to build and support facilities that give people from across our wide-ranging communities every opportunity to participate.

Main Responsibilities:
* Create a clear strategy to deliver the vision and mission.
* Articulate a clear and inspiring identity and vision for the charity that delivers increased sports participation across Staffordshire.
* Create opportunities for people from all backgrounds to get active through community programmes.
* Create a strategy for building a Stoke City community facility and explore opportunities to build or support other facilities in the area.
* Work with the Chief Operating Officer and Board of Trustees to establish short, medium and long-term objectives.
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with local organisations, external stakeholders and groups to encourage and secure investment, sponsorship and fundraising.
* Drive financial performance so the charity can re-invest in support of its mission.
* Develop a culture demonstrating the charity's commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
Key Skills:
* Lead from the front and deliver the vision and mission with passion and gravitas to potential investors, stakeholders, participants, people of influence and staff.
* Be an integral part of the Club's wider senior management team.
* Ensure the charity is appropriately resourced to deliver its mission and that all required policies, processes and procedures are in place.
* Alongside the Chair and Governance Lead, review and ensure that clear governance structures and excellent operating models are sustained.
* Develop a proactive and efficient Senior Leadership Team to deliver the charity's strategic, tactical and operational plans.
* Take the lead on launching and raising the profile of the rebranded charity to attract investment.
* Continually review and develop an effective process of monitoring and reporting impact.
* Be accountable for the overall financial management and sustainability of the charity.
Knowledge and Experience:
* Demonstrable experience operating at a senior level in a dynamic environment.
* Experience in senior leadership with strategic responsibility for business strategy and development.
* Experience in financial management and income generation.
* Experience in charity governance and senior-level charity management.
* An understanding of the role a football club plays in its community.
* Experience in delivering large-scale and complex projects and programmes.
