Job overview
We are recruiting for a data coordinator - Cardiology to join our busy cardiology team who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our cardiology patients.
You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and excellent at communicating with patients and staff at different levels. Computer literacy is a requirement. You will be responsible for collecting and inputting confidential data into Mandatory national Audits.
You will also be working with an experienced team keen to offer you support, help and guidance at any time.
This includes ensuring the integrity of the data collection of NICOR Clinical audit data and validation in Cardiology comprising of the myocardial infarction national audit project (MINAP), British cardiac interventional society (BCIS), primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI), heart failure (HF) and national audit of cardiac rehabilitation (NACR) data bases.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will join a busy Cardiology team to oversee and coordinate the day to day data collection and inputting of confidential data into NICOR national databases. You will need to be able to work under pressure, prioritise workload, work independently and within a multidisciplinary team using initiative and be able to deal with frequent interruptions.
1. Audit patient pathways, producing reports and providing analysis.
2. Maintain the National Audits for Cardiology - currently MINAP, BCIS, Heart Failure and Cardiac Rehabilitation, providing reports and analysis.
3. Audit, analyse and present monthly updates on the PPCI service.
4. The extraction, analysis, and inputting of data from proformas onto the databases.
5. Develop in-depth knowledge of Cardiology National Databases and train others when necessary.
6. Share responsibility each month for generating reports, and preparing presentations for Nursing and Medical staff monthly, using the audit data. Be responsible for training staff in data collection and ensuring the accuracy of data.
