Technical Sales Engineer Job Type: Full-time Location: Preston, with travel to Europe Salary: £35,000-40,000 plus (Bonus and Car Allowance) We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to promote, sell, and grow a range of industrial power tools across the UK and Europe. This role involves developing programs, supporting their implementation, and working closely with our clients product teams to launch new product lines in the marketplace. Day-to-day of the role: Develop and maintain a specialist distribution customer base for professional products. Work with customers to develop product requirements and liaise with the product team at HQ for product roadmap discussions. Responsible for the launch of new product lines in the UK and EU markets. Conduct market research, customer and competitor analysis, and monitor feedback. Devise and implement sales and marketing strategies and tactics for promoting and selling industrial power tools. Visit current and potential accounts, perform product demonstrations, and attend UK & European exhibitions. Create and maintain pricing strategies and price lists for various sales channels. Liaise with the planning team for forward planning of new stock. Set and control yearly budgets and sales targets. Provide weekly, monthly, and annual sales reporting. Collaborate closely with support staff, including admin, technical, and marketing teams. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in technical/professional hardware products to B2B specialist distributor customers. A degree or equivalent in electronics or mechanical engineering is essential. Experience in product management is a bonus. Previous experience in after-sales, trade parts, or industrial power tools business preferred. Experience in a production and assembly environment, especially in industrial automation, would be highly advantageous. Strong business acumen and negotiation skills.
