CLACTON COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL INCLUSION SUPPORT WORKER – FIXED TERM Pay Range: Local Government Pay Scale 4 Actual Salary from: £19,265 – £19,573 (Points 7 - 8) Start Date: ASAP The Role An opportunity has arisen at Clacton County High School for the role of Inclusion Support Worker to join our current Inclusion Support team working with an excellent group of colleagues within our Special Educational Needs faculty. The role of the ISW is to promote and instil these ideals, encouraging all students within their care to access the curriculum and engage with their learning and to build positive, respectful and lasting relationships with others to become successful and valued citizens. This role is 32 hours, 30 minutes per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus non-pupil days). This post is for a fixed term for up till 31st August 2028 and is dependent on the funding available, based on specific student enrolment and the continuation of their EHCP. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Provide particular and skilled 1-1 support to students as directed by the Inclusion Support Co-ordinators or SENDCo/Assistant SENDCo. Be a key worker to the identified student providing support for all needs To encourage the inclusion of students with SEND in a mainstream setting and to support high achieving students so that each individual student fulfils their potential. Understand specific learning needs and styles and provide differentiated support to students individually and within a group in partnership with the teacher. Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate.
