This is a Process Engineer position with a globally leading chemical manufacturing company that is investing heavily on their site over the next few years. The company is undertaking multiple multi-million pound projects to provide upgrades and renovations on the site.
The successful candidate will work for a leading global producer of chemical products, which is relied upon by many industries. As a key member of the team, the Process Engineer plays a critical role in the ongoing operation of the site.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Operations Leader in defining weekly maintenance priorities, minimizing impact on product commitments.
* Understand OEE losses and propose improvement plans in conjunction with the operative team. Implement OEE tools to capture losses in real time and support the development of improvement plans to increase site capacity.
* Provide day-to-day troubleshooting support, mainly related to software and technical/quality issues. Take responsibility for providing technical expertise and diagnosing and solving problems (initiate MOC and RCA if required).
* Implement Lean Six Sigma tools.
* Participate in a professional development program to support career progression through the company.
To be successful in this position, you will require an established technical background with experience in a production or operations environment on a chemical site (ideally COMAH site). A minimum qualification of a Chemical Process Engineering degree or equivalent, along with 5-10 years' experience, is essential.
