About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a jewellery CAD designer/vector modeller. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in vector-based modelling and have a strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes. This role involves creating precise vectors from conceptual artwork to develop fully modelled reliefs in Carve Co, which will be machined into dies and applied in other jewellery design contexts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Create and refine vectors from conceptual artwork for jewellery design purposes.
2. Build fully modelled reliefs in Carve Co., ensuring readiness for machining and other applications.
3. Collaborate closely with the design and manufacturing teams to meet creative and technical requirements.
4. Apply knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes to enhance design accuracy and functionality.
5. Continuously develop skills and techniques in line with industry advancements.
Required Experience
1. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Carve Co/Art Cam, and Rhino software.
2. Minimum of 4 years’ experience within the jewellery industry.
3. In-depth knowledge and understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes.
Additional Skills
1. Expertise in tool making, die sinking, and bench work.
2. Hands-on experience with manufacturing tools and techniques is a plus.
3. A creative approach to problem-solving and design challenges.
4. A keen interest in learning and developing new skills to contribute to the team.
