We have an exciting Locum Social Work position within the Leaving Care service, based in Sefton, Merseyside. You'll work with young people aged 16-18, helping them transition from care to independent adulthood, offering critical support as they take this important step.
We're seeking a social worker who brings enthusiasm, passion, and a commitment to safeguarding young people across the local authority.

Key Responsibilities:
8. Provide direct support and guidance to young people, ensuring their transition to adulthood is smooth and successful
9. Build meaningful relationships with young people and their families, ensuring their involvement in assessment, planning, and decision-making processes
10. Manage a varied caseload, ensuring every young person receives the tailored support they need
11. Work collaboratively with partner agencies, advocating for the young people and securing essential services
12. Tailor your support based on best evidence and address key risks in each young person's life
Ideally you will have:
13. 1-3 years' experience in a similar role
14. Diploma/Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England
15. Experience with Pathway Planning for looked after children and care leavers
16. Strong partnership experience, particularly in housing and joint homelessness assessments, would be highly desirable
