An ongoing recruitment drive is being undertaken at the club, with key off-field appointments having been made already across our business operations, ticketing, and partnerships functions, in an effort to continue improving the experience for our supporters.

JOB PURPOSE
This individual will ensure that the Academy players’ English educational requirements are met to the highest possible standards. They will create a positive learning environment that will provide a beneficial experience for each player through a holistic, player-centered approach to their education. This will involve working within our Day Release programme as well as support our scholars who will be completing GCSE English or L2 Functional Skills English.
MAIN DUTIES
* Take responsibility for Scholar’s resitting GCSE English / L2 Functional skills English.
* To be responsible for the delivery of GCSE English to day release players.
* 1-2-1 support and intervention where necessary.
* Progress reporting on academic achievement throughout the age groups.
* To hold parent/player meetings to review progress in Education.
* Proactively promote and raise awareness of safeguarding.
* Attend training courses directed by the FA, Premier League and the Academy Manager.
Other duties:
As a member of staff to ensure in all matters, you follow and actively promote the club’s mental health policies and practices to ensure an open, non-judgmental and inclusive environment for everyone engaged with the club.

* Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
* Experience of working with young people within an educational setting.
