In a nutshell
The Senior Manager - Engineering Systems, is the business lead/owner and accountable for the entire suite of digital tools used by Engineering & Maintenance (E&M).
Day to day
At the core of this role, you will ensure tools & data are fit for purpose, reliable, used in accordance with defined procedures and correctly adopted/evolved in line with defined governance standards.
As Senior Manager you will:
1. Be the business owner of the relationship with our new MRO system 'Trax'.
2. Define and uphold strong governance around digital tool use/evolution and data.
3. Define and deliver a future strategy that encompasses the latest technology and E&M techniques.
4. Lead the Continuous Improvement and Business Information teams.
About you
Are you an experienced aircraft engineering professional with an exceptional all-round knowledge and skillset (especially with digital systems), able to work with and successfully influence senior management? If this sounds like you and you have the below skills and capabilities, then we'd love to hear from you!
* Professional qualifications in aircraft engineering, typically a degree in a relevant Engineering subject and/or suitable documented industry experience.
* Experience/competency in Airline MRO software, preferably Trax eMRO.
* Experience working with software providers (SaaS), including release management, testing and deployment best practice.
* Significant experience & detailed understanding of airline Engineering & Maintenance (Pt CAMO and Pt 145).
* Knowledge of EASA, CAA & other National Airworthiness Authority regulations.
* Strong leadership qualities and be able to demonstrate a track record of managing performance, delivering feedback and managing all aspects of HR issues.
* Exceptional communication, presentation, influencing/interpersonal skills and supplier management experience.
* Vision and aptitude to define and deliver a forward-thinking strategy that drives efficiency and performance.
* Experience and required skills to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ability to work well on own initiative and demonstrate strong cross-functional working relationships.
* Cost and commercial awareness in relation to decisions within the function.
* Demonstrable change management and project management skills.
* Acumen for development and adoption of new and existing procedures, including the relevant expositions.
* Have proven ability to analyse and interpret data from a wide variety of sources and make sound technical judgements and recommendations.
* Working knowledge of data lake house and BI reporting, preferably Power BI or similar.
