Tezlom are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to work within a prison based in North London.
A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:
1. To assess health and social care needs and negotiate care plans with patients and staff.
2. To undertake risk assessments.
3. To work within the Prison Service safer custody framework for managing suicide and self-harm.
4. To work closely with other departments to ensure that all risks are assessed and managed.
5. To function fully within the Integrated Mental Health Team, assessing and treating patients through their journey in prison.
6. To accept referrals and triage patients with the team.
7. To undertake comprehensive assessments.
8. To provide effective case management.
9. To ensure effective pre-release care planning.
Requirements of the Prison RMN/Nurse:
1. Relevant nursing qualification and an active NMC Registration (Mental Health).
2. Ideally you must have Prison Clearance and experience working within a prison.
