As an industry leader in advanced manufacturing and medical systems, this pioneering organization provides cutting-edge solutions and expertise in precision motion, laser, and vision-based technologies, supporting some of the world’s most challenging applications.
This site specializes in manufacturing reflective optics for use in their products. The primary components are machined from Beryllium and plated with Nickel on-site. The EHS Advisor plays a crucial role in upholding stringent EHS controls around these processes and continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
The role
We’re excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for an EHS Advisor to lead dedicated beryllium safety projects. In this role, the Advisor will ensure full compliance with UK and international regulations while fostering a culture of continuous safety improvement.
As part of this dynamic team, the HSE Advisor will develop and implement HSE policies, manage risk, and lead safety initiatives across the site to safeguard employee well-being and uphold stringent environmental standards. Strong understanding of general HSE and particulate hazard containment. Excellent presentation skills for communicating risk management strategies to teams. Proven ability to organize and deliver EHS training programs. Knowledgeable in assessing and improving safety protocols for hazardous materials handling.
Continuous learner passionate about staying updated on EHS regulations and practices. Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Qualifications
A NEBOSH Certificate, or NEBOSH Diploma, or MSc in Health, Safety, or Environmental Management. Experience in containment and decontamination processes is highly desirable, especially in environments managing particulate hazards. 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Package
