As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs to reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting Learning: Work closely with the class teacher to support students with SEN, adapting materials and resources to meet their individual needs.
* One-to-One Support: Provide dedicated support to individual students, helping them with their academic and personal development.
* Behavior Management: Assist in managing challenging behavior, using appropriate strategies to create a positive learning environment.
* Communication: Liaise with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to the student’s education.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and any interventions implemented.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Relevant Qualifications: Additional qualifications in SEN (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce, or SEN-specific training) are highly desirable.
* Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting is essential.
* Knowledge: A solid understanding of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
* Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Commitment: A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN and helping them achieve their potential.
