The Supply Chain Team play a crucial role in helping to deliver the Nando’s strategic goals through providing a robust and stable supply chain, improving gross profit and margin, and addressing risk. This team is responsible for developing strategies to ensure we source products and services that we are proud of to support running restaurants brilliantly and enable our central support teams. Main purpose of the role To strategically source, and manage supply of, restaurant service providers that support restaurants and central support functions by ensuring robust supply, competitive terms, innovation, supplier capacity to meet business growth and sustainable sourcing. To support the Head of Procurement to deliver the strategy, support the restaurant operations and develop the procurement team’s individual and collective capabilities. To build and maintain excellent internal stakeholder relationships for all categories of procurement spend managed, translating their needs into a procurement and supplier strategy, leading the supplier selection and contracting process and supporting the stakeholders in managing suppliers. A day in the life To lead the strategic procurement plan for assigned categories of third party spend, ensuring there is an appropriate plan to support the Nando’s restaurant operations and business growth. To ensure security of supply, manage supply risk and contingency planning and implement risk mitigation plans. To source and manage day-to-day soft restaurant services including waste management, janitorial services, cleaning services, utilities (e.g water), etc. To provide accurate reporting and to implement corrective action to improve waste management and waste recycling rates. To collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine the appropriate approach to market for each category (including tendering, negotiation stages, consolidation etc) and the contracting strategy (framework, length, terms and conditions). To negotiate all contracts for supply of products and services, and ensure contracts are formally documented and signed. To manage the implementation of initiatives within the categories managed, including the management of internal and external stakeholders. To develop valued supplier relationships and ensure supplier relationship management and performance management is applied across all suppliers. To drive a strong sustainability agenda across the supply base. To support Nando’s Southern Africa sourcing plan. Hot Skills 2-3 years' experience in an operational role, managing and negotiating service suppliers, within a large, multi-site organisation. Proven track record of leading and developing procurement strategies to support the business and drive continuous improvement. Gravitas, strong influencing skills and ability to engage and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
