This is an entry-level role that will offer on-the-job training and upskilling. The role This is a new role in the team Data & Operations team, as part of the Asset Management (AM) COO (Chief Operating Office) function and will be purposeful for supporting and enabling the data management capability in the function. The goal of the Data Management team is to embed ‘data as an asset’ within the culture of the function to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet the overall Asset Management needs and thereby enabling Asset management to become truly a data driven function. The role will focus on the data management capability; this includes processing of data across the Asset Management function. The role will support the business data requirements, ensuring that the data required is loaded into core systems. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in data and to be part of the growing capability in the highly specialised area of Asset Management within the Phoenix Group. Key Responsibilities Data Management Support Static Data Management processes by validating data and inputting into core Asset Management platforms. This includes Portfolio, Private Credit, Security Master data Following documented business processes Support information required for reporting of data management data quality Data creation/maintenance for non-business owned data; business owned data e.g. CIC Code ref data, PD credit spreads. Supporting Classification, Industry Sector and Strategic Asset Allocation data. Supporting the business with data queries, seeking help from more senior team members. Running daily, weekly, monthly reconciliation process Use of 3 rd party vendors market data, sources to support data updates, validation & other processes. Data Quality Supporting data quality on a daily basis. Ensure data quality issues can be tracked and recorded for Governance, MI reporting purposes. Follows 4-eyes data validation processes, principles to ensure correct data management processes are followed. General Contributes to the successful running of the Data Management Function. Has a high regard for data, understanding the importance of this data being accurate, on time and to a high standard. Development / Training Offered How data is used within a Financial Services setting Importance of uploading, processing and tracking data, monitoring data quality, as well as data problem solving / cleansing Using reporting tools and software Understanding of data governance process Stakeholder engagement and management What are we looking for?
