The Role: Teacher of Design Technology - This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a skilled, creative and self-motivated professional to join a forward thinking and well-resourced Design Technology Department. DT is a popular and valued subject with all students learning DT as part of the KS3 curriculum, with many students choosing to continue studying DT at both KS4 and KS5. The department offers Product Design, Food & Nutrition and Textiles to students but in particular this vacancy requires a Resistant Materials specialist. This is a full-time position, but part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate. About the School: reputable school in Luton for its great academic outcomes, arts excellence and sporting successes. The Sixth Form is one of the top performing colleges locally and consistently provides outstanding teaching to students from Year 7 to 13. They are well-equipped to ensure each students individual academic potential and personal development/wellbeing is succeeded. Contract: This would be a long-term contract starting as soon as January 2025 and continuing until July 2025. They would also consider applicants looking for their next permanent role. On this full-time contract, you will be treated like a permanent member of staff with access to all CPD opportunities as well as PPA time included on your timetable. You would be paid to the National Teacher Pay Scale salary between M1 - UPS1 on weekly pay for 3 month probation, then salary offer after this period with the school if you did decide to go permanent.
