Skills Coach – Apprenticeships
Location: Field-Based (Expenses Covered)
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000
Hours: Full-Time

Role Overview:
A dynamic and experienced Skills Coach is required to teach, coach, and support learners on apprenticeship programmes. This role focuses on delivering high-quality training, ensuring learners acquire the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to successfully complete their apprenticeships. The Skills Coach will work within a blended learning approach, providing both workplace coaching and structured teaching sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and effective training aligned with apprenticeship standards and frameworks.
* Support learners in developing English, Maths, and ICT functional skills at Level 2.
* Conduct regular learner visits and progress reviews to ensure continuous development.
* Work closely with learners' line managers to provide guidance and support throughout the apprenticeship.
* Assist learners in evidence collection to meet apprenticeship milestones and prepare for End-Point Assessment (EPA).
* Monitor learner welfare and progress, taking action to reduce early withdrawals.
* Embed safeguarding, Prevent, and British Values into all training and learner development activities.
* Maintain accurate and timely administration and compliance records.
* Stay up to date with industry trends, apprenticeship standards, and best practices.
* Adapt and refine training delivery based on learner feedback, audits, and observations.
* Represent and promote the organisation at external events within the apprenticeship sector.
Essential Criteria:
* Level 3 qualification in a relevant occupational area.
* Assessors Qualification (D32/33, TAQA Level 3, or equivalent).
* Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths & English or equivalent.
* Experience delivering apprenticeship training in a work-based setting.
* Strong knowledge of apprenticeship standards, frameworks, and EPA requirements.
* Familiarity with Government-Funded Training programmes.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and IT skills (including e-portfolio systems).
* Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet deadlines.
* A motivational approach to supporting learners.
Desirable (or to be undertaken as part of the role):
* Teaching/training qualifications (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS).
* Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualifications (D34/V1).
Other Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Flexibility to work across different locations if required.
