Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Postal Department in Facilities Services at Cambridge University Hospitals.
Main duties of the job
You will support the Postal Services Manager to maintain an effective and secure sortation, delivery and collection service for mail, parcels, and routine specimens throughout the Trust.
You will be responsible for the recording and reporting of KPIs and will be the person responsible for the Trust's two franking machines, ensuring that only appropriately trained staff are entitled to use them as well as ensuring that all PPM is carried out.
You will ensure sufficient supply of consumables and postage is available each day – planning ahead where appropriate.
You will ensure sufficient staff is available and will conduct routine return to work discussions following staff absences.

Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
* NVQ level 2 Customer Service / Business Admin / ITQ or equivalent experience
Experience
* Experience of working in a busy office environment or reception role
* Experience of prioritising, planning and organising own tasks
* Experience of customer service or dealing with the public
* Previous experience of working in the NHS
* Previous experience of working within Postal department
Knowledge
* Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
* Understanding of customer service
* Knowledge of Trust information systems
Skills
