Children's SC - Senior Practitioner MASH Team (BR13)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our Children’s Social Care team as a Senior Practitioner within the MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) Team, designated BR13. In this dynamic role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community. The MASH Team operates at the forefront of child safeguarding, facilitating integrated responses to concerns and delivering effective interventions. As a Senior Practitioner, you will lead assessments, consult with multi-agency partners, and provide expert advice to social workers and other professionals. Your role will be critical in guiding case management practices, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and promoting evidence-based interventions. You will also contribute to the continuous development of our safeguarding practices through training, team supervision, and performance reviews. Your work will directly impact the lives of children and families, making a meaningful difference in our community. Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex assessments regarding the safety and welfare of children.
Provide expert consultation and support to team members and partner agencies.
Ensure that all casework and assessments are compliant with statutory requirements and organizational policies.
Supervise and mentor social workers and other staff, providing guidance in day-to-day case management.
Develop and implement effective safeguarding plans in collaboration with children, families, and multi-agency partners.
Contribute to the development and delivery of training and professional development opportunities for team members.
Review and contribute to management reports, ensuring accurate data and case information is presented.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work degree and relevant professional registration.
Extensive experience working in children’s social care, particularly within safeguarding and MASH environments.
Demonstrated ability to assess risk and make critical decisions regarding child welfare.
Strong understanding of legislation, policies, and frameworks related to child protection and safeguarding.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Proven leadership skills, with experience in supervising and developing social workers and support staff.
Commitment to continuous professional development and a strong passion for working with children and families.
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 08:30
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £29.40
Location: Bromley, South East London
