Berry Banstead is looking for a Diagnostic Technician. Your role You will be working in a fast-moving environment, with the scope to work as part of a multi-skilled team on a vehicle. So organisational and planning skills are key here, as well as the ability to use your initiative. Being an MOT tester isn't essential, but desirable. However, this would be an advantage. Service and repair vehicles of all makes and models Carry out PDI/preparation of new/used vehicles to manufacturers’ standards Diagnose faults and carry out testing of vehicles To carry out all work effectively and within the manufacturer repair times To accurately record all details on the relevant job card(s) Ensure all work is carried out to high/manufacturers’ standards To maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction at all times To maintain and update your individual experience, skills and knowledge through training programmes Keep work areas clean and tidy, organised and safe from hazards to health and safety standards and requirements Be able to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels in a polite, professional and efficient manner Your profile Berry BMW Banstead are expand our technical team, and are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated service & diagnostic technician (at least NVQ level 3 or an equivalent) ideally with current MOT testing qualifications You will be able to demonstrate a passion for problem solving through use of diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, combined with advanced technical knowledge to rectify issues found and be confident discussing those issues with customers and explaining in detail any work required and carried out. You also need to have the capacity to grow your skills and knowledge. As product ranges become more technologically advanced, there is a need for technicians to keep up to speed with latest developments, for example electric/hybrid technology. A full, clean valid UK driving licence is also essential for this role.
