Job Role: Surveying Manager
Salary: From £60,000 per annum plus £5,500 car allowance
Location: Midlands/ North of London
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Main Purpose of the Role:
* Manage a national team of Reinstatement Cost Assessment (RCA) Surveyors.
* Undertake surveying and insurance activities that significantly contribute to the success of the team.
* Impart technical knowledge and experience across the team, positively benefiting our clients and customers alike.
* Act as critical support to the Director of Surveying, assisting and engaging on projects of a highly technical or process-intensive nature.
Main Responsibilities:
* Survey properties and prepare RCA reports.
* Prepare documentation in accordance with all RICS regulations and best practice.
* Ensure that all instructions are carried out in line with Company procedures and legal requirements.
* Supervise the team to ensure excellent customer care, exemplary performance, and technically superb completed work.
* Contribute to excellent performance management; build constructive working relationships with partners to improve customer service, value for money, and quality of workmanship.
* Undertake CPD in accordance with the requirements of your professional body, including receiving and delivering CPD within the surveying team.
* Identify potential business opportunities outside of core clients and assist the Director of Surveying in obtaining new business with external clients.
* Link with the core client team to ensure good communication between the client and the surveying team.
* Support and develop the team direction in both capability and product offering.
* Carry out any other duties in relation to the efficient operation of the team and assist the Director of Surveying as required.
Key Interfaces:
* Property Managers, Regional Managers, and Heads of Operations.
* Business to Business Interfaces through business growth.
* External businesses and organisations, particularly key customers and clients.
Qualifications:
* MRICS qualified.
Experience:
* Substantial technical building surveying experience in the Insurance and Property Management environment with a wide range of building types.
* Demonstrable successful project delivery experience managing contractors and consultants as required.
* Sound commercial understanding of a surveying ‘practice’ and ability to clearly articulate commercial performance with senior managers.
* Experience and willingness to build relationships with the team to identify and drive improvement opportunities.
* An in-depth understanding of the H&S issues and regulations that apply to surveying, contractor management, and project delivery.
* Significant understanding of the RCA process and procedure as well as Residential Property Sector and Regulatory knowledge including Section 20 process, CDM.
* Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels within the business.
* Experience with AOV’s, Emergency Call Systems, and Fire Panels would be an advantage.
Skills:
* RCA and Insurance industry experience would be helpful.
* People management and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Project management and delivery skills.
* Experience of Insurance Remediation works e.g. Fire and Flood damage is desirable.
* IT Skills, Windows, report writing etc. (BCIS, databases).
