About the Role:
As Transport Manager, you will take ownership of internal transport operations, oversee a growing delivery and dispatch team, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Based in Lisburn, this role offers an exciting opportunity to harmonise transport infrastructure and processes while ensuring service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and enhance transport operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
2. Manage and resolve POD and transport queries efficiently.
3. Develop and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with group business units.
4. Conduct a full review of transport infrastructure to improve efficiencies and synergies.
5. Motivate and support staff through strategic objectives, training, and performance appraisals.
6. Monitor and enforce Health & Safety standards.
7. Collaborate with the dispatch team to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.
What You'll Need:
1. A CPC in Transport Management.
2. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and transport mapping/modelling tools.
4. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
5. Knowledge of Health & Safety, SLA reporting, and performance appraisals.
6. A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach.
