OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE We are in search of a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our faculty as a part-time teacher of Sociology. This unique role involves the development and delivery of academic programs in both subjects, in line with our educational standards and policies. The successful candidate will teach A-Level Sociology, alongside contributing to the school's own University Foundation and Pre-A Level programmes. You will be expected to inspire enthusiasm and a love for these subjects in our students, catering to their individual learning needs through a variety of dynamic teaching styles. Additionally, you will serve as a Form (Personal) Tutor, offering guidance and support to students beyond the classroom. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and deliver engaging Sociology lessons that foster enjoyment and promote learning. Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on student achievement, progress, and development needs. Set and mark assessments, coursework, and exams in line with the school's policies. Write detailed student reports and maintain accurate records of student performance. Contribute to the development of the Sociology curriculum and teaching materials. Act as a personal tutor, providing academic and pastoral support to students. Actively contribute to the school's extracurricular and co-curricular activities, enriching students learning experiences outside the classroom.
