Electronics Engineer - Melksham We are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join the Rail Services section of the Electronics department to be based in Melksham Wiltshire for a world leading Systems supplier design, manufacture and servicing to the rail industry for Platform Screen Door Systems, Braking, HVAC, Driver Assistance and Auxiliary Power Systems. The role will focus on new projects integration and qualification as well as supporting equipment through its service life. The diverse product coverage includes PSD control systems, brake control and Rail Service initiatives. Training/Education: - Degree level in electronics engineering. Additional Skills essential: - Analog and digital design experience - Proven track record in developing and verification of electronics within a defined quality process. - Have capability to specify and implement practical solutions. - Circuit simulation / tolerance modelling. - Definition of requirements and test requirements for electronic assemblies. - DFT and DFA process knowledge for mid volume electronic products. - Results driven and strong team worker. - Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills. Additional Skills desirable: - Safety critical product or system design experience. - Network hardware and technologies. Main Responsibilities: The role will include, but not be limited to: - Experienced in application of PLC\'s for system control including working knowledge of software. - Practical integration of electronics hardware into higher level systems. - Digital and analogue electronics design ability including PSU\'s, Communication protocols and microprocessors. - Preparation of internal and external documentation deliverables for the project. - Familiar with disciplined approach in accordance with European standards i.e. IEC 61508, EN 50155. - Assistance with defining and building test rigs and prototypes. - Working with customer engineers including commissioning and field trials. Benefits - Salary - £30,000 to £48,000 - dependent upon experience.
