Rate of Pay: £13.70 - £17.24 per Hour
Summary:
Birmingham Childrens Trust is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the most vulnerable children and young people in the city. As a Social Work Assistant, you will support social workers in delivering high-quality services that positively impact children, young people, and families. This role involves direct engagement, casework responsibilities, and collaboration with multi-agency partners.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage an allocated worker case load as assigned by the Team Manager/Social Worker.
2. Collect, accurately record, and critically analyze relevant information using management information systems.
3. Ensure the well-being and safety of children and young people through statutory-compliant assessments.
4. Provide practical day-to-day support to children and their families as directed.
5. Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to deliver comprehensive and effective services.
6. Maintain accurate case records and reports in compliance with statutory and organizational requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Relevant qualification in social work, social care, or a related field.
2. Strong understanding of child protection laws, policies, and best practices.
Experience:
1. Experience in social work support, casework, or child welfare services.
2. Ability to work effectively in multi-agency environments.
3. Proficiency in case recording and report writing.
4. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

1. You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
2. You should have the right to work in the U.K.
3. This role requires a basic DBS.
