The Role:
We are seeking motivated and reliable individual to work in the back kitchen of our café facility within our already successful garden centre at Heaton Fold. You will be required to assist in the preparation of all food items according to our established menu and operating model.
Initially working on a casual basis, you must be available to work most weekends and some Bank Holidays working a 5 hours per day shift, with initial operating hours no earlier than 10.00am no later than 4pm. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in our re-opened café facility and could lead to further opportunities for the right applicant.
The grade of the post is Grade B (SCP 3) which is currently £12.45 per hour.
Applicants must be aged 18 and over as the premises is licensed for sale of alcohol from the café.
About You:
Applicants should be able to demonstrate good knowledge of food preparation and food hygiene, have excellent customer care skills and experience of cash handling.
The post holder will be responsible for cleaning work areas and appliances, completing and recording daily compliance checks and maintaining health and safety standards in the work environment. Predominantly working in the back kitchen preparing and presenting food to a high standard.
