* Salary: £28,443 per annum - £40,350 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lecturer in Engineering to join our team. The successful candidate will plan, deliver, assess, and support learners across a range of engineering programmes, including Level 3 and potentially higher education courses. You will play a vital role in developing the curriculum and contributing to the continuous improvement of the department, while maintaining strong links with industry standards and awarding bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching and Assessment: Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment on a variety of engineering courses, primarily at Level 3. Knowledge of higher education (HE) engineering programmes would be advantageous.
* Course Development: Contribute to the development of both new and existing courses, ensuring curriculum materials, including electronic resources, meet learner needs and industry standards.
* Collaboration and Liaison: Attend department meetings, participate in curriculum planning, and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including moderators, assessors, external verifiers, and awarding bodies.
* Student Support: Track and report on student progress, ensuring timely interventions are provided when necessary. Write termly progress reports and ensure a strong focus on student welfare and support.
* Verification and Quality Assurance: Participate in both internal and external verification processes and contribute to the department's annual self-assessment report.
* Events and Marketing: Assist with marketing efforts, including attending open events, parent evenings, career fairs, and other promotional activities.
* Health, Safety, and Wellbeing: Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students and stakeholders.
* Professional Development: Commit to at least 30 hours of personal professional development annually, with a focus on maintaining up-to-date teaching, management, and IT skills.
