We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Chorley, supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Role Overview: As an SEMH Learning Support Assistant, you will provide targeted support to students with complex needs, helping them achieve their potential in a positive, nurturing environment. Your role will involve one-on-one and small group work, offering both educational and emotional support to ensure each student feels valued and encouraged. Key Qualities We’re Looking For: Confident and professional: Capable of handling challenging situations calmly and with respect. Sense of humour: Able to build rapport with students, creating an enjoyable and supportive environment. Adaptable and resilient: Able to think on your feet and adjust to the varied needs of our students. Role Requirements: Previous experience supporting SEMH students (preferred). Previous experience managing complex needs in children or adults, transferable into working in schools. The ability to maintain professionalism while fostering strong, positive relationships with students.
