Job summary We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to provide an immunisations, cervical smear tests and chronic disease management service for our patients. Mondays to Fridays only, but must be prepared to work until 8.00 PM on Tuesdays evenings (later start possible to compensate). Modern purpose-built surgery in a quiet residential location. Small friendly team with plenty of interaction with colleagues. Parking available on a first-come first-served basis, but close to Mill Hill East Underground station and bus services. Waitrose and Virgin Active Gym close by. Package includes, NHS Pension contributions, sick pay plan, weekly clinical team meetings. About us We are a small friendly team located in a modern purpose-built building with some parking available, but with free parking on surrounding streets also. Mill Hill East tube (Northern Line) is a few minutes walk as are bus services. Waitrose and a Virgin Active Gym are close by. We have a full-time partner, three part-time salaried doctors and two physician associates, an advanced care practitioner, a healthcare assistant and nurses' administrator, a referrals secretary, practice manager, reception manager and a small team of reception staff, two part-time reception administrators and two patient document administrators. We also have a team of Primary Care Network (PCN) staff including social prescribers, care coordinators, first contact physiotherapists, pharmacists, a health and well-being coach and a mental health practitioner. We open Mon-Fri, 8.00 AM - 6.30 PM with extended hours on Tuesdays until 8.00 PM. We offer appointments in the evenings and weekends via our PCN hub surgeries and Barnet Federation. We hold weekly clinical teammeetings and monthly practice team meetings. We use EMIS Web clinical system and Docman. We operate a telephone triage system using AccuRx for same day clinician appointments. Nurse appointments are 15 minutes long. You will assist in maintaining up-to-date PGDs, infection prevention and control, any relevant logs, QOF, immunisation and smears targets.
