Job: Marketing Apprentice
Job Purpose
As a Marketing Apprentice you will support the marketing team and help create, run and monitor a range of targeted marketing campaigns across a wide variety of platforms and maintain the website/photography and companies’ online presence. You will undertake and will be fully supported with guidance and on the job training throughout the length of your apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties will include but are not limited to the following –
• Assist with photography and uploading of new products on the company website
• Support the production of marketing materials and literature, e.g., copy, brochures, presentations, newsletters
• Organising the generation of ready-to-use marketing materials
• Creating social media posts, content creation and supporting group websites
• Supporting all marketing activities
• Assisting with and organising events
• Providing support and communication tools to all other departments
• Create and design marketing material including promotional materials, posters, flyers, brochures, adverts and exhibition material
• Create and produce targeted communications to new and existing customers
• Ensure information on websites supports marketing activity
• Produce video content for email communications and other online marketing
• Monitor, report and analyse results to improve performance, using tools such as google analytics and Facebook insights
• Devise marketing projects to enhance the image-making and profit-making goals of the organisation
• Building PPC campaigns and using them effectively
• Work alongside Marketing Manager to improve search engine optimisation across all sites in the Group
• Keep files in an orderly manner where they can be accessed by the team
• Assist with any special assignments / projects as requested, ensuring confidentiality at all times
Education and Training
• GCSE, or equivalent, in English and Maths
Work Experience
• Works well in a team and with a wide range of people
• Proactive and able to take the initiative and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Be able to plan, organise and prioritise workload/workflow efficiently and effectively
Knowledge and Skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong copywriting skills; with good range of vocabulary and creativity
• Enthusiastic and conscientious approach to work with the willingness to learn
• Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities
• High level of numeracy / literacy
• Strong IT skills and use of Microsoft suite packages
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Understanding of marketing
• Ability to self-manage and work on own initiative
• Excellent presentation skills
• Creative suite literate e.g. Photoshop and Indesign (desirable not essential)
• Good organisational and planning skills
• Proactive and able to take the initiative
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
