1. Be expected to provide a patient centred service, respecting the privacy, dignity and choice of individual patients. They will be responsible with Vascular and Radiology colleagues for the provision of outpatient and inpatient services within the East Lancashire Hospital Trust for both routine and emergency attenders. 2. Aim to deliver high quality care with the help of the existing surgical and interventional radiological team. 3. Assist consultant colleagues in the continued development of the Vascular Arterial Centre and contribute to service development. 4. Be involved in complex clinical, patient management problems and multi-disciplinary planning treatment. 5. Share in administrative duties allocated by mutual agreement within the Directorate. 6. Ensure the dictation of clinical letters is completed in a timely manner. 7. Observe and comply with clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures (including local and national employment and personnel policies) agreed with employees and management. In particular, the post holder will be responsible for updating policies and guidelines for the vascular service along with colleagues, which should be reviewed annually. 8. Be closely involved in clinical audit, research and clinical governance. 9. Provide support to the complaints process (this may include attending complaint meetings with patients, families and their relatives). 10. Undertake all mandatory training, including annual safeguarding training (in-house).
