Job summary West Road Surgery has an opportunity for a receptionist/administrator to join our busy practice support team and assist in the smooth delivery of excellent patient care. This role is offered on a part-time basis for 28.5 hours per week over four days per week to work: Monday 8:00 - 14:00 Tuesday 7:45 - 14:00 Wednesday 8:00 - 18:30 Thursday 7.45 - 14:00 We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable and friendly individuals who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service. Main duties of the job Answering phones calls from patient and booking appropriate appointments with clinicians. Booking patients in. Sign posting patients to appropriate services. Undertaking a variety of administrative duties including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team. Data entry and read coding of relevant patient information and medical data into the clinical system. Scanning patient information into computerised records, including medical documents, hospital records and letters, as necessary. Allocating workflow for review by doctors or other health professionals. Dealing with referrals to primary care. Processing practice post and emails.
