They currently seek a Controls Engineer to join the team based from our European Manufacturing Base in Eurocentral, Lanarkshire.
Job Description
As a Controls Engineer, you will provide electrical and control technical expertise for their range of vacuum and controlled atmosphere furnaces. What Needs To Be Done? Develop Scada, HMI and PLC programs for their range of vacuum furnaces. Suggest new ideas to make existing base projects better and programming more efficient. Bench test programs to ensure as much testing is done before it goes out to the shop floor. Be in involved with FATs. Some travel may be required to help set things up on site if required. Essential Skills, Knowledge & Behaviours HNC in electrical/control engineering or other relevant engineering discipline Proven experience in Control System Design, PLC programming, Instrumentation specification and selection. Ideally this would be with siemens TIA portal but will be considered if used to working with others. Proven Scada and HMI programming experience, ideally with siemens WinCC but will be considered if used to working with others. Experience in Microsoft SQL. Written and verbal communication skills Desirable skills, knowledge & behaviours Knowledge of process industry specifications and standards. Experience of Hazardous area specifications and standards. Knowledge of visual basic scripting. Knowledge of JAVA and Python programming languages. What Will You Get In Return?
