About this Role
Ormiston Meridian Academy is a thriving secondary academy in the south of the city, serving 11-16-year-old students. Our ambition statement is ‘Shaping Lives, Building Ambition and Igniting Futures’ and every decision we make and action we take is to ensure our students flourish as young adults. Alongside our lessons, we provide a rich and diverse extra-curricular programme that develops character and inspires our students.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Lead Teacher to further strengthen our mathematics faculty. Applications are invited from ambitious, inspirational and talented middle leaders or teachers who believe they have the skills, passion and determination to lead our academy mathematics education to outstanding.
The successful candidate will be an expert in mathematics and have a proven track record of successful outcomes, as well as a keen interest in developing the practices of colleagues to further strengthen teaching and learning of the faculty. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who will actively and positively promote mathematics within the academy and will teach engaging and challenging lessons to enable our pupils to progress and achieve.
Our Mathematics Faculty is very successful with plenty of experience and expertise, making it an ideal faculty to be a part of. The team work collaboratively and support one another brilliantly, they are united in the ambition to be the very best they can be, and give the best to their students. Leaders provide a clear and strategic approach to the curriculum, teaching and assessment approaches ensuring new members of the team have schemes of learning and lesson resources to hit the ground running.
