Through the expansion of the Acute Physician team we are now looking to recruit an additional four Locum / Consultants into our friendly, dynamic and enthusiastic team of Acute physicians.
With the opening of the new £47 million emergency department at Scarborough Hospital we have put in place the AMM service delivery model, seen nationally as being at the forefront of acute medicine, with acute services being delivered across ED, SDEC and AMU seven days per week.

Job Plans are open to discussion and negotiation. Candidates must have a higher medical qualification (MRCP or equivalent) and be on the GMC Specialist Register for G(I)M / Acute Medicine or looking to pursue and complete the portfolio pathway within the next 18 months. Your clinical skills and expertise will be of a high standard covering Acute Medicine.

Person Specification
Qualification
* Full GMC registration with license to practice.
* Medical Degree
* Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via: CCT or Portfolio Pathway (Portfolio pathway to be made within 18 months of appointment)
* MD or equivalent higher degree or evidence of relevant research
* Substantive NHS experience
Eligibility & Fitness to Pract
* Eligible to work in the UK
Teaching and Supervision
* Experience in teaching & supervising medical students and junior trainees
* Experience of supervising SpRs/specialist trainees Higher teaching qualification
Research and Audit
* Experience of undertaking audits and presenting their findings
* Able to critically review and apply research to clinical situations
Clinical practice/ competence
* Ability to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience in Acute Medicine +/- general medicine
