Job Summary:
Taking the challenge to embrace the fast-changing optoelectronic industry! Responsible for supporting reliability engineers on R&D and product development projects of cutting-edge optoelectronic technology for the telecommunication industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support R&D Test Team activities: assist in executing test requests to support the development of new optoelectronic devices.
2. Data analysis, review, and reporting to the R&D team.
3. Assist & hands-on experience on rig setup, operation, maintenance & troubleshooting.
4. Opportunity to learn CAD & 3D printing to apply on improving rigs and/or prototyping new rigs.

Person Specification:
Required:
* Must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship.
* BSc or higher degree in physics or related physical science, electronics, communications, with at least one year of degree completed.
* Demonstrable knowledge/experience in the testing and measurement of optoelectronic devices.
* Demonstrable knowledge/experience of data analysis. Skill using MS Excel.
* Flexible attitude to working hours.
* Excellent English communication skills - written and oral.
* Minimum internship duration of 9 months.
Desired:
* Academic knowledge/experience in III-V semiconductor optoelectronic device in the following areas: design, simulation, fabrication, and/or testing.
* Software skills such as LabVIEW, Python, Minitab, etc.
