Altwater is on a mission to make bottled water less wasteful with our beautiful aluminium bottle, prefilled with British spring water and designed to be used over (& over) again. Launched in 2022 by James and Sam, this new approach to bottled water is now stocked across the UK’s high-end retailers, hotels and independents - including Selfridges, Harrods, Blank Street, Third Space and The Peninsula.
To accelerate growth in this archaic category and become the leading premium sustainable bottled water brand, we are looking for a driven and ambitious salesperson to join our team!
The Role
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and driven Head of Sales to lead altwater's commercial strategy, win key listings, and build strong relationships across multiple channels, including retailers, supermarkets, and hospitality. This is a unique opportunity to join a mission-led business at an exciting phase of growth and play a key role in shaping its future.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to expand altwater's market presence and meet ambitious growth targets.
* Team Development: Work directly with the co-founders to establish, lead and execute our sales strategy - with a key focus on off-trade.
* Key Account Management: Develop and nurture relationships with major retail and hospitality partners, wholesalers, and distributors to drive sales performance.
* New Business Development: Identify and secure new opportunities across off-trade, retail, food service, and corporate sectors, ensuring altwater is front of mind for businesses looking to switch away from wasteful plastic bottled water.
* Trade Marketing: Collaborate with the team to design and execute impactful trade campaigns and activation strategies to increase brand visibility and sales.
* P&L Responsibility: Manage sales forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning, ensuring commercial viability and sustainable profitability.
* Proven track record in a senior commercial or sales leadership role within F&B.
* Strong experience in developing and executing growth strategies across multiple channels.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Financially astute with experience managing budgets and P&L.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving business environment.
