NRL’s manufacturing services client is looking for a Quality Manager to join them on a permanent staff basis at their office in Basildon.
As Quality Manager, you will ensure onsite compliance with company QMS to AS9100 REV:D certification & company quality policy. Provide effective support to all operations on the Basildon site. Support customers where required, by applying corrective actions and root cause analysis for any issues that may arise in day-to-day production.
Key Responsibilities
Support Develop and sustain the Quality Management System in line with the required industry standards (AS9100)
Support/ Maintain Quality Assurance System data
MRB: Supporting defect review / rectification activities, corrective actions
SCAR responses: Customer liaison for all quality related issues/queries and full cycle completion through to QMS system
Raising GRNC on suppliers on quality issues
Quality notices, toolbox talks, mentoring, training
Completion of First Article Inspection Reports, and Buddy check
Failure trend analysis
Prepare for and manage monthly Internal audits and external audits as and when required
Creation of quality metrics and KPIs
Working closely with Inspection and Engineering teams, along with production personnel
Raise job cards based on results of investigations to ensure rework of parts is completed in a timely manner
Support new business activity working with commercial team
CofC approvals for deliveries must be signed in timely manner and returned to stores
Participate in Continuous Improvements projects throughout the business

Ability to self-manage and prioritise workload
Clear, concise communicator
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with customers/suppliers directly in a courteous and professional manner
