Our school is very highly regarded, heavily oversubscribed and enjoys consistently outstanding examination results. Finchley Catholic High School is a very rewarding place to work with a supportive collegiate atmosphere. This post is for term time only, plus 5 Inset Days and for 36 hours per week, to support students before, during and after school.
Applications are invited for the above Learning Support Assistant post to support students who have been identified as having Special Educational Needs.
You will:
* Work with teachers in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate
* Set high expectations with all students
* Differentiate work for designated students, ensuring they are achieving a good level of progress
* Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom
* Work closely within the SEND department and the wider staff.
You are:

The Level 1 post does not necessarily require previous learning support experience. It may be suitable for those considering a move into teacher training. If you are applying for the Level 2 position, previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant is a pre-requisite. Please state either your current area of expertise or area of responsibility.
