An exciting opportunity has arisen in Infection Prevention and Control for a Band 6 Nurse. As an IPC Nurse, you will take an active role in providing an Infection Prevention and Control service for the Trust.
Main Duties of the Job
Take an active role in developing an infection control service for the Trust, striving to improve, maintain, and monitor the quality of Infection Prevention & Control through audit of practice, surveillance, and education.
The post holder will support the Infection Prevention & Control Nurse Specialist in providing a resource in infection prevention and control at both clinical and organisational levels.
The post holder will develop skills and knowledge in Infection Prevention & Control practices to support their own development and meet the needs of the service.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NMC Registered Nurse
* Further postgraduate qualification such as ENB 998 or equivalent
* Recognised Teaching Qualification
* Educated to degree level or equivalent Health and Safety Qualification
Knowledge
* Interest in Infection Prevention and Control
* Knowledge of Trust IT Systems such as Sema, VitalPac, and Review
* Experience in participating in audits
Experience
* Significant experience at Senior Band 5 or above
* Current or previous experience of managing and dealing with infection control issues
