Position: Financial Planning & Analysis Business Partner
Reports to: Head of Financial Planning & Analysis
Role Overview: The role entails effective business partnering with IPE sites and departments to support finance
and business leadership in driving the delivery of the finance and business strategy. As we continue our ambitious
growth journey, the successful applicant will play a critical role in decision making, financial planning and monthly
management reporting processes, helping to support the growth and profitability of the group. Key aspects of this
role will involve analysis of performance across several IPE sites, collaboration with business departments and
review of divisional spend, as well as supporting the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and Financial Director
with budgeting, forecasting and other business performance measures. The successful candidate will have the
following responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities:
* Business Partner to Cubis / NAL operational sites including overhead and site P&L reviews
* Develop, manage and maintain the annual budget and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business
* goals
* Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modelling
* to assess business performance
* Prepare and present monthly financial reports and performance metrics to senior management,
* highlighting key insights and recommendations
* Collaborate with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide actionable insights
* to support operational and strategic decisions
* Divisional month-end process with cross functional department collaboration and review of spend
* Developing credible budgets with relevant sites and functional departments
* Month-end management accounts review for Cubis / NAL
* Inventory and SLOB analysis and collaboration with operational teams
* Freight costs analysis and support to Head of Logistics
* Headcount alignment and employment costs analysis across the IPE Group
Associated Responsibilities:
* Supporting colleagues across all divisions with financial information and analysis.
* Identification and implementation of process improvements and automated reports to drive quality and
* efficiency within the team and across IPE
* Tracking and reporting of operational / divisional performance initiative savings
* All other duties as deemed necessary by the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis
Experience and Training:
* Minimum 3-5 years accounting / finance / Business Partner level experience, ideally in manufacturing or
* distribution
* Prior experience of operating ERP systems
Essential Criteria:
* ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified
* A collaborative team player
* Self-motivated and proactive in overcoming challenges
* Able to be structured and logical, whilst having the agility to respond to changing priorities
* Strong management and performance accounting capability
* Analytical and deadline driven
* High level IT skills preferable
