Main duties of the job
At The Meadows, we provide care to customers throughout the year. As a Care Support Worker, you will perform your duties in a person-centred manner, promoting well-being, choices, dignity, and independence. You will support customers with personal care needs, social daily living skills, and leisure or work activities.
At Bradbury House, we provide short breaks away from the family home supporting customers, enabling them to take part in meaningful community-focused activities. We work with families and paid/unpaid carers to ensure that they are involved and listened to, supporting the customer in the most appropriate way to maximize their independence.

Job responsibilities
Hours per week: Casual - zero hours
Interview date: Week Commencing 1 July 2024
Day Service
The Day Service collaborates with customers to identify and achieve outcomes, supporting individuals in a variety of activities within the service or local community, 5 days a week.
Respite Service
At Bradbury House, we provide short breaks away from the family home supporting customers, enabling them to take part in meaningful community-focused activities. We work with families and paid/unpaid carers to ensure that they are involved and listened to, supporting the customer in the most appropriate way to maximize their independence.
We provide regular training opportunities to support you in this role, and you will be supported to undertake a 26-week probationary period with regular meetings throughout this period to monitor progress.
As a casual worker, you'll have no fixed hours and will work on an as-needed basis, depending on Wiltshire Council's requirements and your availability. You are not obligated to be available, and the Council is not obliged to offer you work.

Qualifications
* Willingness to undertake L2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults)
* General Education to GCSE A*-C or equivalent skills and experience
* L2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults) or equivalent
Experience
* Previous experience of building good working relationships and teamwork
* Experience of supporting people on a one-to-one basis
