With the constant advancement of digital technologies, we are enhancing our capability to ensure we have the right people in the right place across the Admiral Group.
We need your expertise in supporting the Pet Product team to make data-led and informed strategic decisions for now and in the future.
The Pet Data Analyst role will be vital to our continued and expanding data offering for the Pet Product.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Extract data from both external and internal mediums and present the insights in a meaningful way to guide both operational and strategic decision making.
2. Provide analysis and commentary on data trends and any issues identified, including communication with stakeholders to ensure accurate and relevant analysis is achieved.
3. Ensure effective quality assurance has been undertaken on all work and that appropriate caveats are made clear, to guarantee the accuracy of reporting and correct interpretation.
4. Maintain and improve the data quality and integrity of our Pet data and ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
5. Contribute to the development and innovation of the Team and the wider data community by sharing your ideas, knowledge, and best practices.
Experience required:
1. Demonstrable experience in data analysis using tools and languages such as SAS, BigQuery, BI tooling, R, or Python.
2. Keen eye for data visualisation techniques and storytelling with data practices, maximising user interpretation and enabling data-informed decision making.
3. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different audiences and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, with the confidence to challenge others based on your findings.
4. Highly numerate, with a structured and methodical approach to problem solving and analysis.
5. Ability to pay attention to detail to make accurate conclusions and predictions when working with data.
6. An ability and agility to learn to operate within established teams and project management styles.
Support and Reporting Lines:
The Pet Data Analyst will report into the Business Support, Pet, Price Comparison, and Underwriting Team, part of a wider data and insights community, enabling you to leverage best practice with your peers. You will have a matrix reporting line to Pet as the key stakeholder you will be supporting.
Location:
Admiral Group has a flexible working policy with remote, office, and hybrid working options. Ideally, you will be able to commute to our office in Cardiff for collaborative, creative, and connected work as and when required, but you could equally be based anywhere in the UK.
Benefits and Work-Life Balance:
At Admiral, we are proud to be a diverse business where we put our people and customers first. We have great benefits to ensure employees have a great work-life balance; it's one of the reasons we’re consistently voted one of the Sunday Times Best Big Companies to Work For in the UK.
