A welcoming and inclusive independent school in Exeter is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with children and young people aged 7–16 who have a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Your role will involve: Supporting individual students and small groups with learning, regulation, and social development Creating a positive, structured environment to support emotional and academic growth Working closely with teachers and support staff to deliver personalised learning plans Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in all learners Being a reliable, calming presence in the lives of students who need it most We’re looking for someone who: Has experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly SEMH or ASC Is calm, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries Holds relevant training or qualifications (desirable but not essential) What’s in it for you?
