PA required in NR9 to assist a male on Wed and Sat mornings 4.75 hrs p/w @ £14 p/h - Norwich - NR9
I am an active minded male recovering from a stroke that I had 11 years ago. Due to this, I am predominantly wheelchair dependent but can walk a few yards with a walking stick. I am looking to add another Personal Assistant to my small care team which currently includes my wife, son, daughter in law who help me 24/7 and two other PAs who cover my morning personal care.
You would be supporting me to access the Therapy Gym on Wednesday mornings, driving my Wheelchair Accessible vehicle, and assisting me with any personal care as needed while we are there. If the gym is closed, you would help me with completing my activities at home. Those could include, but are not limited to, preparing snacks, helping me to complete my physiotherapy exercises, accompanying me to my home workshop, and supporting me with personal care (such as toileting and changing clothes).
You would also visit to help me with morning personal care on Saturdays. Additionally, you would need to be willing and able to share in covering other team member absences, planned ahead with the team, as and when necessary.
You will need to be a sociable person; although I get tired easily and like to be alone at times, I enjoy sharing ideas and reading. Due to the brain injury, my cognitive abilities sometimes make it difficult for me to understand, so you will need to speak clearly and check that I can understand.
