Purpose
The Content Author is responsible for producing error-free, factually accurate assessments that align with the subject specification.
Core Services and Expectations
1. Act at all times in a way which will not bring Pearson into disrepute.
2. Read all Pearson policies and guidance prior to undertaking contracted activities.
3. Respect the confidentiality of centres and learners.
4. Attend any meetings or training sessions provided, relevant to your role.
5. Adhere to deadlines and ensure that all work is carried out to the best of your ability.
6. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in a professional manner.
7. Have personal IT equipment capable of running Pearson software, relevant malware protection, and a suitable internet connection.
8. Communicate with Pearson and its centres in a timely manner.
9. Raise any concerns regarding malpractice or safeguarding issues.
Role Specific Services and Expectations
1. Ensure assessment materials comply with the Global Content Policy and support accessibility, diversity, and inclusion.
2. Ensure all applicable assessment materials produced are of high quality and cover the assessment criteria.
3. Ensure materials are appropriate to the specific range of ability.
4. Advise on subject specialist matters and provide feedback where necessary.
5. Adhere to production schedules and keep Pearson informed of your availability.
6. Produce assessment materials that meet the level of demand, and ensure clarity and error-free questions.
7. Provide accurate sources used for copyright permissions.
8. Ensure graphics and images are from reputable sources and free from error.
9. Comply with the demands of the current specification.
10. Review and produce revised assessment materials as required.
11. Provide feedback on drafts and attend sign-off meetings.
12. Ensure all associated materials are updated throughout the production process.
13. Sign off the final assessment materials.
14. Support and agree on modified paper amendments when requested.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
Experience:
1. In-depth knowledge of assessments and curriculum development.
2. Proven ability to provide and co-ordinate training.
3. Proven track record of leading quality assurance activities.
Qualifications:
1. Degree
2. A UK recognised teaching qualification
