Fire Alarm Installation Engineer, Service, Wolverhampton, Midlands to £38,000 + car
A leading Engineering firm that specializes in security and Fire Safety systems and Alarms is requiring an Engineer with expertise to join their growing team. Due to growth, a Fire Alarm Service & Installation Engineer is needed to work in their dynamic facilities teams.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Maintain the general upkeep of FA systems across a number of sites.
2. Inspect premises, conduct routine maintenance, carry out PPM tasks, perform repairs, and fix any faulty accessories.
3. Carry out install works alongside our projects and install team.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Installation, Service, Repair, Fault-finding & Maintenance of Intruder Alarms, IP CCTV & Access Control Systems.
2. Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered on-site.
3. Carry out effective communications with the client and administration team.
4. Ensure the company meets its obligations and adheres to guidelines and regulations laid down by the professional bodies they subscribe to.
5. Work closely with other engineers and provide support and training to more junior members of the team.
Skills and Experience:
1. Ideally 3 years' experience working within a similar role.
2. Good understanding of most systems e.g. Intruder Alarms, IP CCTV & Access Control is preferred.
3. Knowledge of a range of manufacturers.
4. Willingness to learn new systems.
5. Hold a Full UK driving Licence or equivalent.
6. A drive and enthusiasm to grab hold of opportunities.
7. A positive attitude and the ability to self-motivate is a must.
8. Desirable qualifications include: IPAF, CSCS/ ECS, FIA and/or City & Guilds.
9. Experience of an electrical background would also be very useful.
