Financial Controller – Southwell – Up to £65,000
Chase & Holland are excited to be working with an innovative and fast growing owner managed business who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their team. This is a number one finance role, with the main purpose being day to day responsibility for financial compliance and risk minimisation, leading the finance function, overseeing management and financial reporting insight, supporting the board with information to make key business decisions, process and systems development. The role has the exciting potential to develop into an Finance Director role in the next 3-5 years.

Ultimate responsibility for establishment and management of a fit for purpose day-to-day Finance Team
Delivery of Monthly Management Accounts/agreed performance reporting including commentary
Day to day responsibility for ensuring risk minimisation, via appropriate procedures and controls/reconciliations
Day-to-day responsibility for reconciliation of all company bank accounts/cash holdings, reporting to the Board any issues/risks
Responsibility for all day-to-day financial compliance and statutory reporting
Attendance at Senior Management meetings and delivery of timely and accurate financial reporting to meet the information needs of the business
Ultimate responsibility for timely and accurate provision of various statutory accounts, statutory returns and all other standard financial compliance reporting requirements
Provision of day-to-day support to the Finance Director in relation to Budgeting, Forecasting, Business Plans, Strategic Reporting and any other required areas identified
Key role in the implementation of a new ERP system
Delivery of a motivated, effective finance team to always meet the changing needs of the company
Play a key role in strategic decision making, supporting the wider management team to understand the numbers and think strategicallyRequired Skills & Experience:
Proven Previous experience in a similar no 1 finance team management position
Proven experience in delivery of Management and Financial Accounts & Cashflow reporting
Experience of budgeting, forecasting and forward financial modelling preferable
Fully Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
IT literate including ERP systems and excel. ERP systems implementation experience desirable
Team management including mentoring and developing your team
Strong communication skills – manage effectively both customer and internal relationships
Ability to drive change and thrive in an ever changing, fast paced environment
