Job Opportunity: Senior HR Manager
We are partnering with a Charity/Not for profit organisation based in London to recruit a Senior HR Manager for a fixed-term contract of 2 years, starting w/c 23/09/2024. There is potential for this role to become permanent. The annual salary is £50,000.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ED&I and change management.
Key Duties:
* Provide support to the Head of Governance and HR, including preparing reports for the Executive Team.
* Occasionally deputise for the Head of Governance and HR in meetings.
* Maintain and review HR policies to ensure they meet organisational needs, updating the Policy Matrix accordingly.
* Lead the organisation’s EDI policy implementation.
* Investigate staff grievances and complaints, documenting findings and recommendations.
* Assist in preparing for the Investors in People assessment in 2024, ensuring HR practices align with standards.
* Develop and implement a Cultural Competency Framework.
* Manage responses to HR-related Subject Access Requests.
* Collaborate with the HR Business Partner on recruitment processes, including representing HR on interview panels.
Experience & Skills Required:
* Knowledge of the local area and community or willingness to learn.
* Experience in change management.
* Proficiency in Access Select HR and MS Office.
* Significant HR operational experience, especially in a charity or similar setting.
* Understanding of employment law and legislative updates.
* Passion for EDI, with creative communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills, discretion, and confidentiality.
* Excellent communication skills adaptable to diverse cultural settings.
* Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder trust-building ability.
* Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
* Confidence and tact in handling sensitive meetings and interviews.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (35 hours per week)
