Job Purpose
The tendering manager is responsible for identified prospects from tender receipt through to potential Contract Award. They will provide support to capture plan and pre ITT strategy and act as Client focal point for all communications for identified prospects post ITT receipt. The Tendering Manager will manage the tender process and provide direction/leadership to personnel involved in Tendering, all in accordance with Company’s Group Requirements and Guidelines.
Job Description
Responsibilities
* Responsible for contributing to the achievement of the Company’s defined Order Intake targets
* Play an active role and contribute to the management of key customer accounts
* Liaise closely with Business Development / Strategy / Front End and have full visibility across potential prospects
* Responsible for identified prospects from receipt of ITT through to potential Contract Award
* Responsible for any commercial and tendering support required in pre-ITT phases – Budgets, Concept/Pre-Feed/Feed and direct liaison with “Front End” team as required
* As a member of the Tendering Management Team, actively participate in all relevant Tendering Management Team meetings and actions
* Governance of Tendering processes and management of direct reports to ensure that all Commercial activities are carried out in accordance with TechnipFMC Group Values
* Contribute directly to value creation and commercial gain to TechnipFMC and Clients
* Manages and provides others with direction in all commercial activities during the tender life cycle from receipt of tender, through contract award and handover to projects
* Support measurement and reporting of Cost of Non-Performance tender activity including performing cost analysis and interpolation to identify positive and negative trends across projects
* Other appropriate tasks as may be directed by Commercial Director from time to time
Main Accountabilities
Tendering Management
* Member of the Tendering Management Team
* Attendance at Tendering Management Team meetings
* Manage day to day commercial Tendering activities
* Liaise with the internal departments to ensure adequate resources are allocated to the Tendering department to support bid activity.
* Support and maintain tendering resource management.
* Maintain the appropriate level of industry networking to ensure the Tendering team understands the latest industry commercial and contractual advances and developments, advising how TechnipFMC can maximize its position.
* Identify changes to internal / external regulatory requirements and implications for the business. Implement appropriate actions and roll out to the Commercial Tendering team, and wider population, where appropriate.
* Manage internal interfaces / relationships, ensuring clear lines of delineation between departments, and the effective delivery of tenders.
* Assist the Commercial Director collation and management of the annual tendering budget.
* Maintenance and development of tendering documentation and systems through utilization of digital/software deployment.
Client Responsibilities
* Oversee and participate in the definition and approval of commercial and contractual deliverables for inclusion in Client tender submissions
* Lead contract negotiations from a commercial and contractual perspective.

Qualifications/Experience Required:
* Professional or degree level qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business or Legal discipline
* High standard of written and spoken English
* Detailed knowledge of the Subsea Offshore Industry
* Knowledge of key cross Industry competitors
* Knowledge of TechnipFMC products and services
* Experienced in dealing with all aspects of negotiation
* Extensive experience in a commercial environment performing a similar role which demonstrates exposure to the key contracting and commercial concepts in relation to contract and commercial risk management with specific emphasis on tendering execution activities
* Considerable knowledge of commercial, contractual and cost estimating matters and proven ability to negotiate same with Clients and Suppliers
* Ability to work at a senior level and communicate with all levels and disciplines within the business
* Ability to work under minimal supervision and direction
* Able to work within and contribute in a motivated and professional environment
