Introduction
I am twenty-year-old man with a learning disability. I am selectively mute. I like football and I want to engage in activities and roles connected to this. I need support to maintain contact with family and friends. You will be helping me to build up my independent living skills, listen to me, guide, and encourage me. Also, you will help me to pursue my interests in the local community.
Duties
Supporting with food shopping and making healthy food choices.
Some meal preparations, support with lunch for a work placement.
Prompt to wash, shower and maintain good hygiene.
Make a cleaning routine and prompt to maintain a clean environment.
Support to maintain family and friendships. Support with setting boundaries in relationships.
Support to build independent skill’s, shopping.
Help to research interests; football roles/activities in the local area.
Help to assess risk at home and in the community.
Support to engage in paid work or work placement.
Help to engage in social activities.
Support to learn new skills.
Hours
5- 10 hours per week, flexible
Rate: £14 per hour
Essential Requirements
Someone who is a Good listener. Patient. Organised. A good communicator.
DBS to be completed if requested.
